Calaf Doon is built on trust. Every member is verified by a person before anybody can see them, and the parts that could be abused are the parts we built most carefully.
Every member verifies their identity. There is no way to skip it and no account that is exempt.
Three files, checked by hand.
The photo page of a passport, or both sides of a national ID card.
With the camera, now — not from your gallery.
Five seconds, turning your head. A photo can be someone else's.
Your documents are stored privately and are never shown to another member. They are kept after review so a decision can be checked later — we would rather say that than claim they are deleted when they are not.
Building a safe community
Every member proves who they are with a government ID, a selfie and a video. Until a moderator approves all three, the profile is invisible — and that rule lives in the database, not in the app.
Respect, haya and honesty. Everyone is here for marriage, and behaviour that treats it as anything else gets an account removed. Read them in full on the guidelines page.
Documents, photos and reports are read by a moderator. Files nobody could read are turned away automatically so they can be taken again — but nobody is approved, refused or removed by a machine.
Photos live in private storage, never on the open web, and are shown only through links that expire. Every one is reviewed before another member sees it.
You decide what goes on your profile. Your email, your phone number and your verification documents are never shown to another member.
Both are on every profile and every connection. Blocking closes any connection and hides you from each other immediately; they are not told.
Most apps like this hold your exact position and promise to be careful with it. Calaf Doon holds none, so there is nothing to be careful with.
The Android app does not request one. You can check: it is not in the permission list when you install it.
No profile has a latitude or longitude. The City map places a count on the centre of each city, never on a person.
That is all matching uses and all anybody sees. Nobody can work out how far away you are, including us.
Verification stops most of it. These are the ones only you can do.
Nobody on Calaf Doon has a reason to ask you for money. Not for a visa, not for an emergency, not once. It is the single most common way people are hurt on apps like this.
Your number is shared only when you both agree. Take your time — and if anything goes wrong afterwards, you can still report it here.
Involve your guardian and your family before you share your number or meet. Nobody sincere will mind.
If something feels wrong it probably is. A person reads every report, and reporting somebody never tells them.
