Terms of service
The rules of using Calaf Doon, in plain language: what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
This is a working draft, not legal advice
It describes accurately what the platform actually does today, so it is a useful starting point. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not tailored to the laws of any particular country. Have it reviewed before Calaf Doon launches publicly.
Who can use Calaf Doon
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be genuinely seeking marriage. Calaf Doon is not for casual dating.
- You must be free to marry. Hiding an existing marriage or engagement is grounds for removal.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold, or run on someone else's behalf.
What you agree to do
Follow our community guidelines. In short:
- Give truthful information about yourself, including your age, marital status, and photos of yourself.
- Treat every member with respect, and approach every connection with the intention of marriage.
- Keep content modest. No nudity, no flirtatious or haram material, no obscene language.
- Never ask another member for money, gifts, or financial help, and never send money to someone you met here.
- Keep what another member shares with you private. Sharing screenshots to shame someone is not allowed.
- Report behaviour that breaks these rules instead of retaliating.
Connections on other platforms
Calaf Doon does not host private chat. When you and a match both agree, you continue on WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms; Calaf Doon does not operate them, is not partnered with them, and cannot see what is said there.
These terms still apply to how you treat someone you met through Calaf Doon. If something goes wrong after you connect, report it — you can say it happened outside Calaf Doon and attach a screenshot.
What we may do
Moderators review profiles, photos, verification documents and reports. Where the guidelines are broken we may reject a photo, refuse verification, suspend an account, or remove it entirely. Serious cases — scams, threats, or anything involving a minor — are removed immediately and permanently.
Files that cannot be read — blurred, too dark, or the wrong kind of file — are turned away automatically so you can send a better one. Decisions about you are made by people.
We aim to explain a decision when we can. We may not explain it in detail where doing so would help someone evade moderation or expose whoever reported them.
Verification
Verification tells the community that a real, identifiable person is behind a profile. It is not a background check, a character reference, or a guarantee about anyone's intentions. Use your own judgement, involve your family, and take the advice on our safety page seriously.
Premium and payment
- Matching, connecting, Thoughts and verification are free. Premium adds seeing who liked you and who visited you, unlimited likes, every filter, and priority in Swipe.
- You send the payment yourself and submit the transaction reference. An admin confirms it before premium starts.
- Nothing renews automatically and we never charge you without you acting first. Premium ends at the end of the period you paid for.
- Extending while premium is active adds time on top of what you already have rather than replacing it.
- Because payments are confirmed by hand, a wrong or unreadable reference may be rejected. Contact support with the correct one.
Ending your account
You may stop using Calaf Doon at any time and delete your account yourself from the app. We may end an account that breaks these terms. Moderation records are kept after removal.
What we do not promise
Calaf Doon is a platform for introductions. We do not promise that you will find a spouse, that any particular member is suitable for you, or that the service will always be available without interruption. We do promise to run it honestly, to moderate it with real people, and to keep your data as described in our privacy policy.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so rather than quietly editing the page. Continuing to use Calaf Doon after a change means you accept it.
