1. Our standards
Calaf Doon has no tolerance for child sexual abuse or exploitation, or for material depicting it. Any account, photo, thought or message that sexualises, grooms or endangers a child is removed, and the account is banned permanently.
2. Only adults can join
Calaf Doon is for people aged 18 and over. Every member gives a date of birth when they join, and it is checked against a government document during verification. An account that appears to belong to somebody under 18 is suspended while it is reviewed, and removed if the doubt stands.
3. How harm is prevented
- Identity and age are verified with a document, a selfie and a short video before anybody is shown as verified.
- Every profile photo is reviewed by a person before any other member can see it.
- Reports are read by trained staff, and child safety reports are handled first.
- A banned account cannot simply return: the details it was created with are kept as a one-way hash and refused on sign-up.
4. How to report
- In the app: open the menu on any profile or thought, choose Report, then “Seems to be under 18” or “Something else”.
- By email: [child safety email address]. You do not need a Calaf Doon account to write to us.
- In an emergency, if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
5. What happens next
- The content is removed and the account is suspended at once.
- What investigators would need is preserved for [how long?].
- Accounts involved are banned permanently, and the same details cannot be used to sign up again.
- Confirmed material is reported to [which authority?].
6. Working with the authorities
We follow the child safety laws that apply to us and cooperate with law enforcement requests that are lawful and properly made.
7. Who to contact
Questions about these standards, or how they are enforced, go to [name and role] at [child safety email address].
